Could you ever forget Brooklyn Bumblebee, or the event where you met him?
Hard to believe, but Bee's made from parts purchased at local
drugstores, hardware, household & 99-cent stores; toy stores
and sporting goods stores. Only one on-line purchase.
Brooklyn Bumblebee Version 7
525 hours construction time weight of 160 lbs.
Some of his more-interesting parts :
I started with a tourist giftshop 'Brooklyn' license plate,
then...
dish drain basin parts, 4 sponge holders, 2 toothbrush holders, 2 ice scrapers,
2 toilet paper roll holders, laundry ball (?), fanny pack, apple corers, 16 turn-
buckles, 3 egg slicers, toilet seat hardware, toilet tank plumbing, toilet plunger,
hair curlers, shin guards (not on my shins), hairbands, football chest protector,
dish cleaner brushes, athletic leg guards, lots of doorstops, bicycle lights,
lots of plumbing supplies, lots of closet pole mounts, door-wall guard,
4 handtruck tires, stove top splash guards, mirrored sunglass lenses,
pot handles, stove & cabinet knobs and handles, 2 jar openers, 2 paint can
crimpers, contact lense cases, 4 telephone handsets, socks, 2 shoe horns,
radiator pipe guards, army boots, 83 velcro straps, lotsa bottlecaps,
a kid's toy helmet (after 20 hours of detailing), 26 athletic laces, ashtray,
toilet bowl brush holder (figure that one out!), 2 belts, audio speaker,
hairclip, flanges, drain stoppers, cellphone chargers, 2 hand towel holders,
paper towel holders, 2 baseball throat protectors, coat hooks, buttons,
and...
lots and lots of plastic from: trash cans, cleaning product containers,
storage containers, anti-freeze containers, personal care product
bottles, vitamin bottles, ...anything with a good shape or curve...
plus a few things even I can't figure out!
